Marine Le Pen, president of the group National Gathering at theNational Assembly launched a ultimatum At government. She gave until Monday Michel Barnier to respond to “the red lines of the RN”. If it does not satisfy them, the leader of the RN opposition in the Assembly plans to vote censorship.
“The RN does not give the government an ultimatum…”
In a press release sent this Friday, November 29, RN deputy Michel Guiniot wishes to qualify: “The RN group does not give an ultimatum to the Government, only the context of the vote on the Social Security Financing Bill, having place Monday December 3, 2024, is to be taken into account.”
“We cannot accept that no savings are made in the state’s lifestyle and thus worsen the deficit,” continues the deputy for the sixth constituency of Oise (Compiègne-Noyon).
Deep disagreements over the budget
In this same press release, the parliamentarian lists the points of the 2025 budget on which he disagrees with the government:
- no serious drop in State Medical Aid (AME)
- no tax on speculation
- no fight against fraud
- no reduction in Public Development Assistance (“China and Algeria are financed through this”, adds Michel Guiniot)
- no drop in net contribution to the European Union
“A financial crisis generated by 7 years of macronism”
In his press release, the MP insists: “The budget proposed by Mr. Barnier will precipitate the financial crisis generated by 7 years of macronism, of which business failures, rising unemployment and tensions on the financial markets are only the firstfruits. This budget will weaken businesses, refusing any structural savings on the functioning of the State is the royal road to collapse.”
As for the text proposed by the senators, the deputy Guiniot comments: “The text proposed by the senators aims to make the French work 7 hours for free, every year, to de-index pensions, or even to quadruple the VAT on bottles of water.”
And to conclude: “Our position on future finance laws is to protect YOUR interests.”
