“ This responds to a request on Beauvais. All recruitment is an opportunity forhospital and the community.» This new residence for CHB caregivers aims to facilitate the installation of practitioners by providing them with a housing solution. A project which is part of local health contract driven by theagglomeration to compensate for the shortage of doctors with 15 departures in two years.
Administrative difficulties
Paradoxically, “ To be able to sign a contract with the hospital, they must provide proof of an address and therefore accommodation. However, the time to gather the necessary administrative documents and obtain proper papers does not allow them to find accommodation under common law. Hence this residency initiative to not only help the hospital recruit caregivers and allow caregivers during this transition period of a few months to have time to do their administrative formalities before being able to settle in. » if they like the place.
A problem which concerns more particularly the “ associated practitioners » from abroad, assigned by the CNG (a national platform) to different hospitals according to needs for 2 years. Period at the end of which the national commission authorizes them to practice in France with their registration with the order of doctors.
This is the case with the doctor Amadou Diallo, neurologist hospital practitioner transferred for a year to Beauvais hospital center since September 9, 2024, after having worked in Landes. The lucky first beneficiary and tenant of this residence testifies: “ This is a great opportunity because it is close to the hospital. It also brings me closer to Paris” where his wife and children still reside. “The presence of the airport will also weigh in my choice to decide to settle here with my family. This gives me time to tour the territory before making my decision. Because in two months, that is not enough, we can have unpleasant surprises.»
Insufficient housing for caregivers
This former staff accommodation for teachers, which had remained vacant for a long time, had all the ideal characteristics to convert it into a nursing home with its three bedrooms, and its geographical location near the hospital. It only took a few months since May to completely refresh, furnish and equip it to make it available for rental without too much expense.
This accommodation completes the already existing real estate stock of 3 accommodations in the city center, insufficient to meet the demand for its 2 studios on the upper floor. Clémenceau Health Centerand an F2 for a family Scellier Course.
The interns are housed either inLaSalle Institute or in theboarding school of the hospital where a renovation and expansion project of 30 additional beds is under consideration, supplemented by the residence project for interns by the community.
Of the 2,800 professionals at the CHU, including 80 in internal training, 60 come from the CHU and 20 of them are in DFMS (Specialized Medical Training Diploma (DFMS) or the Advanced Specialized Medical Training Diploma (DFMSA)). These diplomas allow foreign doctors to complete and deepen their training started in their country of origin in France. During their training, these students have the status of students acting as interns (FFI).
