THE taxi drivers organized a filter dam at the entrance of Beauvais by the RN31 this Thursday morning, November 21. As a result, this axis, which was normally busy, was completely congested for several kilometers early in the morning. The strikers were responding to the call of two unions, Upato and SATC 60. Vincent Delafosse, vice-president of Upato in Oise, presents the reasons for their anger:
Another action this afternoon in Beauvais
This Thursday afternoon, the unions announced that they were carrying out a second action, this time at the CPAM headquarters. They hope to finally be listened to for the preservation of the price per kilometer for medical transport. Traffic could therefore be more difficult than usual on avenue de Bourgogne, which borders the headquarters of the CPAM of Oise in Beauvais.
More negotiations before the decree is passed
Information on this draft decree which has been shared in the national press, the remuneration of taxi drivers is not the only new problem that poses a problem. Patient associations also denounce the sharing of vehicles by those transported. Including for people who are immunocompromised or suffering from cancer, which may present a risk for them.
This draft decree must be submitted to the national council of the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam) on December 3. This will be the last step before its signature by the government and its publication in the official journal. Until then, associations and union representatives still hope to change the situation. A meeting between taxi representatives and those of Cnam is due to take place at the start of the week in Paris.
