Since Wednesday November 27, almost all of the municipal police of Beauvais (Oise) is installed in front of the town hall. Negotiations continue with the town hall regarding the new compensation regime for agents, provided for by a decree dated June 26, 2024. This text allows communities to deliberate on establishing a special function and commitment compensation for the benefit of agents under the job frameworks for directors, department heads and municipal police officers.
A budget increase of almost €100,000 for the municipality
For their part, the agents initially wanted this regime to be applied to its maximum, i.e. an annual bonus of 30% of their salary, €2,500 for everyone, €2,500 more for night agents and €500 for supervisors. Late Wednesday morning, four representatives of the CGT and seven municipal police officers were received by Mayor Franck Pia. The latter took note of their requests and offered them a new offer at the end of the day. An offer which amounts to €1,500 for everyone, plus €500 for agents assigned to public roads (i.e. 90% of them), plus €1,500 for night agents and €500 for supervisors. Plus a variable portion of more or less 20% at the end of the year depending on the manner of service.
“Daytime agents will thus increase from an average annual salary of €40,430 to €42,297 and night agents will increase from an average annual salary of €46,941 to €49,115, excluding overtime.indicates the town hall. This proposal induces a significant and assumed annual budget increase, to the tune of €97,250. Such an upgrade is unprecedented and allows us to salute the professions of these women and men in our town.»
No news from the town hall since Wednesday evening
But this revaluation does not yet seem sufficient to satisfy the agents, who sent a counter-proposal to the town hall secretariat Thursday morning. “Reasonablenotes Dominique Lignier-Bécard, CGT general secretary of Beauvaisis territorial agents.
