Find out everything about your intercommunity, the services, what they correspond to, and how to contact them. Already for the inhabitants of the municipalities of the agglomeration, it is sometimes vague, then for the children, it is often a nebula.
The observation, everyone makes it and the idea is to make accessible, affordable, this acronym which is the CCPOH, the community of the country of Oise and Halatte.
“We sat around a table and the president himself validated the game project. The idea is to reach the widest possible audience, including children,” explains Guillaume Levillain, communications manager at intercommunality and author of the game.
This week, he came to Bazicourt primary school to introduce the game to CM1 and CM2 schoolchildren.
Setting up the game is simple and allows you to create small groups.
The pair game works perfectly and from table to table, Guillaume chats with the children. Without them really paying attention, he gives information and asks questions. The children are interested. “oh yes, we will soon have a new trash can? For green waste? Are the bags going to be finished then?”
“Bikes! Can we find electric bikes in the area? (…) “Yes, it’s true, tourism, I know there are many things to see in the region. We have the Moncel Abbey. That’s easy, everyone knows it.” (…) “There is extracurricular activities too, and leisure centers” In short, the questions abound and the exchanges take place as simply as possible under the interested gaze of their teacher. This time it was Amelie Tamalet’s class and the children did not hesitate to ask the necessary questions.
“It’s quite surprising, but sometimes we drift on subjects linked to politics, elections, salaries too. In short, this game is a starting point that allows you to develop curiosity and thus learn more about your city and its services while having fun,” emphasizes their teacher.
Marinette Carole, mayor of the town of Bazicourt, also wanted to attend a session. “We realize that children are particularly open to this type of knowledge game and I think it is a very good initiative. It is true that for many, the services of the Ccoph are quite vague and outside of the town hall, they do not realize everything that may be around them. Anything that makes it possible to make known what exists is interesting,” underlines the first magistrate.
Above all, an educational tool
In perpetual search for new educational tools for its youth, the community of communes of Pays d’Oise and Halatte is providing primary schools in its territory with a new board game: Mémo Défi.
Imagined, designed and manufactured by the CCPOH Communication Department, this game allows children to discover in a fun way the many services of their intercommunity, its organization as well as the work of its agents.
Accompanied by three facilitators, the children sharpen both their thinking and their team spirit during two events.
Time to set up the game, talk with the students and recess time has already arrived.
“We didn’t see the time passing,” say the children.
In the end, the bet really paid off.
