During the campaign senatorial, Alexandre Ouizille was committed to reporting each year to the elected representatives of theOise. THE senator did it for its first year, this Tuesday, November 12, in the Pommery room of Clermont where more than 200 elected officials from the department gathered. “It’s a democratic act fundamental than being accountable,” immediately recalled the elected official.
An evening dedicated to transparency and commitment
Alexandre Ouizille unveiled a 36-page document which reviews the work undertaken in the Oise and in the hemicycle at the Senate. This document, which will be distributed in all town halls and sent to the department’s elected officials, testifies to his method: a senator extremely present on the ground as well as in the chamber. Let’s admit that he is also very present in the media and on the social networks.
“I must deserve every day, through work, the honor given to me to represent the elected officials of Oise,” he said. I have to be all in. This is my vision of the mandate. The problems of the Oise irrigate and determine my parliamentary work.
Health, agriculture, energy and airport nuisances
The Senator returned to the cases he carried out during this year. The fight against medical deserts in the first place, while access to health remains a major challenge for the territory. “We have a density of general practitioners 40% lower than the national average.” He then recalled his proposed law on airport nuisances, a text fueled by the difficulties encountered at Beauvais airport.
He also highlighted his work on water management, while the Oise went through one of the worst droughts in its history in the summer of 2023, but also his participation in the commission of inquiry into electricity prices and its proposals to respond to the agricultural crisis.
Victories for the Republic
Alexandre Ouizille also highlighted the progress achieved at the national level, in particular the historic inclusion of abortion in the Constitution at a time when women’s rights are being called into question in Afghanistan, Iran and now in the United States. Added to this are concrete local victories which have been welcomed, such as the support of mayors to avoid several class closures and its support of local elected officials through interventions with state services, the department and the region. .
A constructive exchange between elected officials
The evening continued with a long moment of discussions, where mayors and elected officials from throughout the territory asked essential questions on subjects as varied as housing, industry, the ZAN (zero net artificialization) system, democracy, intercommunity and their concerns about the community budget.
As for the Nation’s budget, the senator insisted on the importance of preserving the capacity for action of communities in a tense budgetary context because they represent more than 70% of public investment.
After the discussions, the evening ended around a 100% Oise buffet, highlighting local producers from the four corners of the department…
