Unfortunately, Patrice Flament remains untraceable. This septuagenarian resident by Agnetznear Clermont has been missing since November 4. This Saturday, December 14, a big hunt took place between this commune of Clermontois and La Neuville-en-Hez. More precisely in the imposing national forest of Hez-Froidmont. This, at the appeal of the family of the missing person, with the support of the Assistance and Search for Missing Persons (ARPD) association.
“Nearly 300 people responded,” explain those responsible for this structure. To this were added teams from Civil Protection and the White Cross. Plus gendarmes from Clermont, Saint-Just-en-Chaussée and Maignelay-Montigny, to supervise all these volunteers.
Three research groups
Everyone had an appointment at the Neuville-en-Hez stadium. The crowd, larger than expected, however delayed the search operations by a few minutes. The 300 people were divided into three distinct groups. A separation carried out according to the physical abilities of each person.
“We must guarantee everyone’s safety,” insist the organizers. Along the same lines, everyone had to leave their contact details with the organizers. In case…
“My father has lived in the region for 40 years”
The different groups then had to line up. Then at the same time move forward into a wooded plot.
For those close to Patrice Flament, also on site, such momentum can only touch them. “My parents have lived in the region for 40 years,” explains Alexandre, son of the deceased. “They worked at the CHI (Isarien Hospital Center – Clermont and Fitz-James mental health center Editor’s note).
But the hope of finding Patrice Flament remains less than tenuous. “We always have doubts,” admits Alexandre. “But finding my father would be a relief. If only to be able to organize the funeral. My family also researched in the forest for ten days. But it’s still 7,000 hectares… We feel helpless.”
Further research planned
Despite all the good will gathered and around two hours of research, it ultimately yielded nothing. But one way or another the investigations continue. In the coming days, the gendarmerie must bring an elite search dog to the site.
When he left his home in Agnetz, Patrice Flament was wearing jogging pants, glasses with black frames and hearing aids. People who have seen him or have information can always contact 17.
