The day after the censorship of his government, Prime Minister Michel Barnier presented his resignation to the President of the Republic this Thursday, December 5.
This Wednesday, December 4, the National Assembly overthrew the government of Michel Barnier, by adopting the motion of censure tabled by the left. It took 288 votes for the motion to be adopted, it received 331 votes in the hemicycle.
This censorship comes after the triggering of article 49-3 by the head of government in the Assembly, which should make it possible to adopt the Social Security budget without a vote by deputies.
