“We will have respected all our promises to the football club.” The town of Laigneville can now launch the work planned for several years at the stadium. The three public contracts relating to this investment were awarded during the month of December.
The operation, divided into three lots, amounts to just over 380,000 euros. A cost revised somewhat upwards compared to the first estimates. “We asked for concrete floors instead of wood,” said Mayor Christophe Dietrich, during the municipal council meeting on December 12. “We have also had requests from the Professional League. We can explain to them that we are not Paris-Saint-Germain, but hey…”
Modular changing rooms
The work concerned relates to the stadium locker rooms. After the demolition of the old changing rooms, a new modular unit was built, in the same style as the leisure center.
During the municipal mandate “we built the stadium fence, the training ground, and now the locker rooms,” adds Christophe Dietrich. However, the chief magistrate continued: “I hope that, from now on, efforts will be made regarding the maintenance of the site. I have seen things that I will no longer let pass.”
The work on the stadium must be completed before the summer of 2025. “We put pressure on businesses,” continues the mayor of Laigneville.
