After a long interview at the Elysée Palace this Friday, November 13, François Bayrou was named Prime Minister. He becomes Emmanuel Macron’s sixth head of government since his accession to power.
Until then, he held the position of High Commissioner for Planning. He is the president of Modem (Democratic Movement), close to Emmanuel Macron, of whom he has been an ally since his accession to power in 2017.
