“The partial reopening of the line SMUR has Senlis is of course very positive for all the inhabitants of the living area of the south-east of the Oise who found themselves far from care adapted to an absolute emergency medical situation, recognizes Véronique Pruvost Bitar, the president of the defense and development committee of Senlis hospital (CCDHS). The arrival of a doctor more quickly at the bedside of a patient or at a public road accident allows for a slightly greater chance of survival.”
But if the president appreciates this return of SMUR to Senlis, she considers that the account is not there. She continues to think that within the Public Hospital Group of the South of Oise (GHPSO), the Creil hospital is very much favored compared to that of Senlis. “The patient from the Creillois basin is located a few minutes from a hospital center equipped with heavy and increasingly heavy resources. This is evidenced by the investments planned for the near future: laboratory, pharmacy, renovation of services, Creil emergency department… With 200 million in 10 years, we cannot speak of a “tight budget” in Creil.”
Residents of the south of Oise are disadvantaged
Véronique Pruvost Bitar repeats over and over again that the inhabitants of the rural area of the south-east of the Oise have lost, in less than 15 years, 10 medical and surgical services and a clinic. While in Creil, a 21st century medical analysis laboratory is being inaugurated. “It is only the second in the sector after the Amiens University Hospital,” she notes. Meanwhile, in Senlis, residents cannot even benefit from local services. Cardiology beds, recently reduced to 8 beds (24 initially) no longer even benefit from telemetry monitoring. Renewing it would require a budget of 20 to 25,000 euros. An unsustainable investment for the Ghpso! Will it be necessary to launch a pot among residents to finance the telemetry of the service of cardiology?»
When will the emergency services return?
However, the opening of an unscheduled medical reception in Senlis has made it possible, for a year, to respond to certain non-vital emergencies. “But this service could be improved to take care of more patients,” believes the president of the CDDHS. They could, for example, extend opening hours, set up support for minor surgery, etc. Because, as we have clearly understood, despite political promises, the reopening of emergencies in Senlis has been postponed indefinitely. Senlisiens will be able to travel 13 kilometers to get to Creil, as we are used to hearing. THE Crépynoisthey still have to deal with a trip of 35 kilometers, just like the inhabitants of Nanteuil-le-HaudouinTHE Maxipontins and all the surrounding villages. In total, 100,000 residents are still deprived of local healthcare and treatment for the most common pathologies under normal safety conditions.”
